Olhando, mais uma vez em modo diacrónico, para o trajecto, em específico, da inventividade artística portuguesa nos últimos 100 anos, onde fica o feminino quando se consulta a produção escrita sobre a temática? Na maior parte dos casos e salvo exemplos pontuais e recorrentes, num plano subalterno, negligenciado e explícita ou veladamente preconceituoso. E, contudo, a vibração estética das mulheres é uma evidência no século XX e nos primórdios desta nova centúria, sendo a sua força, arrojo e originalidade criativos, patentes numa arte erigida a partir de um lastro de vida no feminino, uma realidade inquestionável.

Looking, once again in a diachronic way, at the trajectory, in particular, of Portuguese artistic inventiveness in the last 100 years, where lies the feminine when consulting the written production on the subject? In most cases, except for occasional and recurring examples, on a subordinate level, neglected and explicitly prejudiced. And yet, the aesthetic vibrancy of women is evident in the 20th century and in the beginnings of this new centurial, and its strength, boldness and creative originality are also apparent in an art form built form a ballast of life in the feminine, an unquestionable reality.
