EU SOU CLARICE

Estive isolada numa casa a escrever até conseguir uma primeira versão, ainda muito incompleta, do que viria a ser o espectáculo. Posteriormente, fui trabalhando com a Carla Maciel e com a Maria Quintans, e através de várias leituras fomos cruzando impressões, alterando, acrescentando, cortando texto. No processo de memorização, a Carla também me ia expondo as suas dúvidas – e fomos perseguindo e colando desejos. A Carla tem uma característica extraordinária, entre várias: ela aparece no espaço de ensaios com o texto decorado. Ela é total na sua entrega e tenho-lhe uma admiração profunda. Os nossos processos criativos têm sido muito felizes, e não nego que saber que estou a escrever para ela me ajuda muito.

I was isolated in a house, writing, until I had a first version, still very incomplete, from what the show would become. Posteriorly, I kept on working with Carla Maciela and with Maria Quintans, and through a few readings we kept on giving our impressions, changing, adding, removing texts. During the process of remembering the lines, Carla kept on exposing her doubts – and we kept pursuing and glueing dreams. Carla has an extraordinary skill, besides all the others: She shows up to the rehearsal space with her lines remembered. She gives her all in her delivery and I have such profound admiration for her. Our creative processes have been very happy, I will not deny that knowing that I am writing for her, it helps me a lot.
